CGH was founded in 1963 by the late Dr. Dong-hee Lee. It thus started out as the first hospital in Korea to be dedicated to women¡¯s health, and has since played a central role in the advancement of women¡¯s medicine in Korea.
As it approaches the fifty year anniversary of its establishment, CGH, the largest women¡¯s hospital in the country, has recently unveiled its Vision 2013 Master Plan designed to transform the hospital into one that offers comprehensive and specialized services, ranging from medical services to diagnosis and treatment, research, and education. This plan includes the construction of the nation¡¯s first women¡¯s cancer center, a new hospital building, as well as branch hospitals across the country.
CGH will continue its endeavors to become a world-class general hospital for both women and their children. While putting our customers at the forefront of everything we do, we promise to tirelessly pursue the development of knowledge and technology in advanced women¡¯s medicine, as well as the training of top-notch medical experts in that field.
